The Capital City Trail is a 27km loop that includes parts of the Merri Creek Trail, the Yarra Trail, the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail, and the Inner Circle Rail Trail. Our construction company in Melbourne are responsible for the replacement of 9 panels on this trail, in the vicinity of Arden street. The scope of work for the project is detailed below.
To ensure that commuters on the Capital City Trail have a safe trip either on their bikes or on foot, our civil construction company in Melbourne must ensure that the panels are removed efficiently and installed properly with high durability. Therefore, our civil contractors in Melbourne will concrete saw, jack hammer, remove 9 severely cracked panels and then pour new concrete, including the installation of expansion joints once the concrete is set.
It is also the responsibility of our civil company in Melbourne to provide all the plant, labour and equipment necessary to complete the works, which includes a mobile batch plant, excavator, truck and bobcat. In order to minimise disruption to users of the trail, the pavement will be CTS Rapid Set, meaning it will have its structural strength and be safe for traffic 2 hours after pouring. Once the 150mm thick slabs are given a broomed finish to match the existing trail, all concrete waste and subgrade will be disposed of to an approved waste facility.
